Some books about veganism are overwhelming and intimidating - not this one!īeautiful artwork and beautiful message! Good work, Ruby Roth! Vegans everywhere thank you! This is wonderful for parents who are raising their children to be vegan as it will be very relatable for them. I thought Ruby did a great job with the message of this book and not only does it introduce vegan values, it teaches the alphabet in a cute and fun way! Society gets too wrapped up in patterns and schemes sometimes and when that happens importance is based on repetition rather than free formed inspiration. I actually thought it made it all the more interesting to read. Some reviewers were concerned about the lack of a consistent rhyme scheme - which is true, the rhymes are sort of all over the place, but I didn't feel that it detracted value from the book. My son isn't even two yet and he loves this book and gets excited when we read it to him. This is my favorite book by Ruby Roth so far. Hooray for the day when they're no longer farmed!" We don't eat our friends, they'd find it quite rude."
